AGENDA SUPPLEMENT
TO: Mayor and City Council
FROM: Douglas K. Maxeiner, City Administrator
FOR: November 29, 2004 Regular City Council Meeting
RE: Ordinance annexing Lot 16 in Block 3 of Hunterville Park Subdivision
As the October 11, 2004 meeting, the City Council approved an ordinance annexing
the Hunterville Park Subdivision to the City of McHenry. As the City Council is aware,
the annexation was complete with the exception of Lot 16 in Block 3 also known as
3011 Mourine Lane. At the time of the notification process, the owners effectively
avoided service. Consequently, the property was removed from the original petition.
As the lot is now completely surrounded by the city, it can be forcibly annexed to the
City of McHenry.
A notice was published in the Northwest Herald and the owner has been served
notice via certified and regular mail. A public hearing is not required for the
annexation due to the process followed previously through the county court system.
Recommendation. Staff recommends approval of the attached ordinance annexing
Lot 16 in Block 3 of the Hunterville Park Subdivision.
