RE: 2004 Jaycee Day Annual Fireworks Event
Recommendation: To approve the request for use of Petersen Park by the McHenry
Area Jaycees for the 2004 Jaycee Day Fireworks Event on July 3, 2004 with a rain
date of July 4, 2004 and waiver of all associated fees.
Attached is a letter from Event Chairman Doug Gray requesting the use of Petersen
Park on Saturday, July 3, 2004 for the Annual Jaycee Day Fireworks Event on July 3,
2004, use of the police security, and waiver of all associated fees. A rain date of July
4, 2004 is scheduled.

RE: Purchase of HP Design Jet 60” Plotter
Recommendation: To approve the purchase of an HP Design Jet 60” Plotter from
LDG Corporation for $14,241.
Listed below are three quotes for the purchase of a large color printer/plotter to
produce replications larger than legal size (81/2”x14”). The plotter would assist staff
in printing presentation displays and provide the capability to print zoning, ward, and
subdivision maps. In conjunction with software already obtain, the plotter will enable
the city to maintain maps in-house along with geographical information systems
information that can be produce when desired.
The plotter will be part of the municipal computer network and all departments will
have access. The HP Design Jet 60” plotter provides the ability to print copies up to
60” along one side.
The 2003/2004 IT budget includes $14,900 for the plotter.

Recommendation: To approve the purchase of an HP Design Jet 60” Plotter from
