Maxeiner, City Administrator FOR: June14, 2004 Regular City Council Meeting RE: Resolution Regarding Education Reform The Mayor recommends passage of the attached Resolution urging Illinois Governor Rod L. Blagojevich, the President and Minority Leader of the Illinois Senate, the Speaker and Minority Leader of the Illinois House of Representatives and the members of the Illinois General Assembly to reduce the over reliance of local property taxes to fund education. The Resolution is supported by the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus and the McHenry County Council of Governments.
