AGENDA SUPPLEMENT
TO: Mayor and City Council
FROM: Douglas K. Maxeiner, City Administrator
FOR: December 20, 2004 Regular City Council Meeting
RE: Request for Transfer of Class G-4 Liquor License
Mayor Low received notice from Mr. Art Theodoris owner and operator of Green Street
Café, that he is selling his interest in the Green Street Café located at 1219 North Green
Street to his chef of 15-½ years, José Rodriguez. Consequently, Mr. Theodoris is
requesting the transfer of the Class G-4 liquor license.
Mr. Rodriguez lives in the City of McHenry and will also manage the business. He has
agreed to become BASSET certified and is conversant with the State of Illinois liquor
control regulations.
All the required paperwork has been submitted, he has been fingerprinted by the
McHenry Police Department, and has met with the Mayor.
Recommendation: It is the Mayor’s recommendation to approve the request to transfer the
Class G-4 liquor license to José Rodriguez of Little Jennie, Inc. d/b/a Green Street Café
subject to satisfactory fingerprint results. In addition, all employees involved in the sale of
alcohol at the restaurant will attend BASSETT training.
