Althoff FOR: January 13, 2003 Regular City Council Meeting RE: Request for use of City Council Chambers The city received a request from U.S. Representative Philip M. Crane to use the McHenry City Council Chambers for a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Attached is a copy of the letter from the office of U.S. Rep. Crane stating his request. Since this courtesy has been extended to other elected officials in the past, and the room is available, I intend to grant this request. mmg AGENDA SUPPLEMENT TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: Douglas K. Maxeiner, City Administrator FOR: January 13, 2003 Regular City Council Meeting RE: Semi-Annual Distribution of Developer Donations to Taxing Entities RECOMMENDATION: To approve the Semi-Annual Distribution of Developer Donation Fees to McHenry School Districts 15; McHenry School District 156; McHenry Public Library District; and McHenry Township Fire Protection District and direct the City Clerk to distribute these funds. Attached is a chart depicting the developer donation fees collected from July 2002 through December 2002. As outlined in the City of McHenry Subdivision Control Ordinance, the City Council must direct the City Clerk to distribute these funds to the appropriate taxing entities. The amount of distribution to each is: McHenry School District 15 $335,311.50 McHenry School District 156 $180,498.50 McHenry Public Library District $33,104.00 McHenry Township Fire Protection District $33,104.00 As done in the past, each entity will be invited to the City Council meeting in July to receive the next distribution. For City Council information, the amount of developer donation fees collected for the Parks & Recreation Department is $478,900.00. Total fees collected for all taxing entities is $1,060,818.00. mmg CONSENT AGENDA TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: Douglas K. Maxeiner, City Administrator FOR: January 13, 2003 Regular City Council Meeting RE: Shamrock Farms Development – Grant of Utility Easements RECOMMENDATION: To authorize the Mayor to execute the attached Grant of City Utility Easements documents for two 40-foot parcels lying on the east side of Curran Road relating to the Shamrock Farms Development project. Attached you will find two Grants of City Utility Easements covering two parcels along the east side of Curran Road that will serve the Shamrock Farms Subdivision. These easements obtained by Kimball Hill are necessary for the installation of the city’s sanitary force main, which will serve the Shamrock Farms subdivision. In addition, a map depicting the locations of the easements is attached for your information. The two documents have been reviewed and approved by the Director of Public Works and the City Attorney. It is recommended that the City Council authorize the Mayor’s execution of the attached Grants of City Utility Easement documents. mmg
