October 5, 2010—Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 pm by Pat Wirtz at the Municipal Building.
Members present: Marie Wilt,Kaaren Gies,Holly Wood,Marya Dixon,James Johnson,
Chris Bassi,Lauren Adams and Pat Wirtz.
Members absent: Patty Schafer,Michele Peterson and Gerhard Rosenberg.
Staff: Doug Martin.
Minutes: We need Septembers Minutes!
Treasurer's Report: The account is current.
Facade Grant: No changes.
Expneses: There were none.
Demolitions: There were none.
Old Business:
Historic Neighborhoods: Doug said the banners are moving forward.
Petersen Farm Foundation: Michele Peterson absent.
Petersen Farm Repairs: No updates.
New Member-Joyce Matuszewich was welcomed to the Commission!
Day at Petersen Farm Report: Pat Schafer will prepare an expense report.
Joint Council-Marie had handouts from Huntley Mtg.and updated Committee on
May 2011 plans for Preservation Month.
Budget and Activities Report-James Johnson completed a rough draft.
A Day at Petersen Farm,2011 -McHenry's 175th Birthday-Planning meeting with
McHenry Chamber of Commerce.Minutes were sent to all members of Commission on 11/1/10.
New Business:
City Newsletter-Input taken and sent to City by James Johnson.
2011 Landmark Commission Budget-Doug Martin will submit.
Fall Event at the Petersen Farm: A fall activity at the Petersen Farm such as ghosts,pumpkins etc.should be
reviewed in year 2011.Bill Hobson has agreed to move Wonder Lake Ski Haunted Hay Ride to Petersen Farm Side for 2011.
McHenry Hospital Plaque: Marie Wilt updated the LMC of the progress the Riverwalk Commission
in completing the plaque.
LMC Folders: Pat Schafer will help Doug Martin complete these spiral booklets for the new members.
Committee for Landmark Commission plaguing-Joyce Matusczewich&Chris Bassi will head this sub-committee.
Guidelines&criteria will be looked into.A current list was emailed.
