A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on May 15, 1975, Crescent Bay Landing, Inc. , filed
with the Division of Aeronautics an application for approval of a
Commercial Airport - Seaplane Base to be located near Johnsburg,
on the Fox River: (1 ) an area approximately 4,000'1 in length North-
east of Chapel Hill Street Bridge, part of the Southwest Quarter
and the North Half of Section 18, Township 45 North, Range 9 East
of the Third Principal Meridian; and (2) an area approximately
3,500' in length Southwest of Chapel Hill Street Bridge, part of
the South Half of Section 13, and the North Half of the North Half
of Section 24, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, McHenry County, Illinois.; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing will be conducted by the State of
Illinois, Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics,
concerning the above application on Tuesday, August 19, 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois,
believes that the proposed Commercial Airport - Seaplane Base would
be detrimental to the safety and welfare of the people of the City
and of the adjacent territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, as follows :
1. That the City of McHenry, Illinois, be and it is hereby
apposed to the proposed Commercial Airport - Seaplane Base;
2. That Alderman Edward Datz be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to appear at the aforesaid hearing and at any continuances
thereof, and to enter the objection of the City of McHenry, Illinois,
to the aforesaid application and to request, on behalf of the City of
McHenry, Illinois, the denial of said application.
