RESOLUTION
WHEREAS , EARL R. WALSH, is retiring from the office of City
Clerk of the City of McHenry, and
WHEREAS , he has served as acting City Clerk with Mayor Peter
J . Doherty , and City Clerk with Mayors R. I . Overton, George P . Freund,
Donald P. Doherty and Joseph B. Stanek with distinction , and
WHEREAS , he has held the office of City Clerk continuously
during the past 38 years , and
WHEREAS, he has attended 1 ,076 regular and special meetings
with perfect attendance from April 26, 1937 through April 30, 1975, and
WHEREAS , he has made numerous friends for both himself and
the City of McHenry , and
WHEREAS , he has conducted his office as City Clerk with honor
and distinction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of McHenry recognize this service with sincere appreciation.
I move the adoption of the above resolution, that it be
incorporated in the minutes of this meeting and a copy be presented to
Earl R. Walsh.
