RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the rapid and continuing population growth in the
City of McHenry, Illinois, and the large surroundin la has resulted
in transportation problems, and ceP

• City of McHenry and the Chicago O'Hare Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the said City Council
request the O'Hare Wisconsin Limousine Service to consider providing
the much needed service between the points mentioned.
Alderman Wegener, seconded by Alderman Datz, moved, with
unanimous approval , to adopt this Resolution , and that a copy be sent
to: Mr. Donald Ferrone, General Manager

SUBJECT: TRANSPORTATION FROM MCHENRY TO THE CHICAGO O'HARE AIRPORT

I believe that McHenry can definetely use this service and I spoke to
Mr. Donald Ferrone the General Manager regarding the addition of
fenef c McHenry
on their schedule to and from the Chicago O'Hare Airport. Mr.
said that McHenry can be added to the schedule only if their company
receives sufficient requests for the service. I have offered the fa-
cilities of the Chain-O-Lakes Travel Service as a Stop in McHenry enroute
to the Chicago O'Hare Airport. This service can come to McHenry if you
as an individual, business, institution, organization, etc. , will write
to them and request the service. Where applicable, please use your
business stationery. Please do it immediately.

For your information, The O'Hare Wisconsin Limousine Service is not a
new service since they already have schedule service from the Playboy
Club in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to the Chicago O•Hare Airport. They are
also associated with the American Sightseeing of Chicago, Illinois.

ORDER
and
CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY
By the Commission:
On November 15, 1973, O'Hare Wisconsin Limousine Service,
Inc. ("Applicant" ) filed its application for a Certificate of
Public Convenience and Necessity. to operate as a Motor Carrier
for the transportation of persons between O'Hare Airport in
Chicago, Illinois, and West Dundee, Algonquin, McHenry and Rich-
mond, Illinois.
Applicant sent notice of the application to the Commission
of Aviation of the City of Chicago, Continental Air Transport
Co. Inc. , Greyhound Bus Lines, Chicago and Northwestern Railroad,
the Chairmen of the County Board of Commissioners of McHenry
County, DuPage County, Cook County and Kane County, Illinois
and City Clerks of Chicago, McHenry, Algonquin, West Dundee and
Richmond, Illinois and the City Attorneys of Chicago, McHenry,
Algonquin, West Dundee and Richmond, Illinois. On November 16,
1973, Applicant caused notice of its application to be published
in the Champaign-Urbana Courier.
Pursuant to notice, a hearing was held before a duly appointed
Examiner of the Commission at its offices in Chicago, Illinois,
on December 18, 1973. At the hearing, appearances were entered
on behalf of Applicant and by a member of the Commission' s
Account and Finance Section. At the conclusion of the 'hearing
on December 18, 1973, the record was marked "Heard and Taken" .
Applicant presently operates a motor carrier service between
O'Hare Field in Chicago and various points in the state of Wiscon-
sin on a regularly scheduled basis pursuant to authority from the
Interstate Commerce Commission, and effective December 20, 1973,
over several routes in Illinois intrastate commerce pursuant to
authority recently issued to it in Docket No. 58175 permitting
service between the exit or entrance roadways at Chicago-O'Hare
International Airport, on the one hand, and, on the other, Antioch,
Fox Lake, Lake Zurich, Richmond, Spring Grove and Wauconda, Illi-
nois. The instant application is designed to provide similar
scheduled service to the additional communities of McHenry, West
Dundee and Algonquin, Illinois.
The Commission, having given due consideration to the entire
record herein, and being fully advised in the premises, is of the
opinion and finds that:

(1) Applicant is a corporation organized and existing under
the Laws of the State of Illinois and operates as a
carrier of persons by motor carrier for hire in inter-
state commerce pursuant to authority of the Interstate
Commerce Commission; and in intrastate commerce pursuant
to authority of the Illinois Commerce Commission effec-
tive December 20, 1973 ;
(2) Applicant, by its application herein, proposes to
transport by motor carrier persons for hire in intra-
state commerce in the State of Illinois, and in so
doing would be a public utility within the meaning
of a certain Act entitled, "An Act concerning public
utilities, " as amended;
(3) the Commission has jurisdiction of Applicant and of the
subject matter herein;
(4) Applicant proposes to offer twice daily service from
McHenry, Algonquin and West Dundee, Illinois to
O'Hare Airport in Chicago, Illinois, and twice daily
service from O'Hare Airport in Chicago, Illinois to
McHenry, Algonquin and West Dundee, Illinois. Said
operations are restricted to movements to or from the
exit and entrance roadway at Chicago-O'Hare Interna-
tional Airport;
(5) it is proposed that the fares for a one-way trip between
O'Hare Airport in Chicago, Illinois and the listed
points shall be six dollars ($6.00) ;
(6) Applicant possesses the financial resources and equip-
ment necessary to institute the proposed services, and
same appears to be economically and technically feasi-
ble;
(7) operation of a common carrier of persons by motor car-
rier between the points proposed in Finding (4) 'herein
would be in the public interest and should be authorized;
a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity should
be issued to Applicant for said purpose;
(8) Applicant should file with the Secretary of this Com-
mission, at least five days prior to the commencing of
operations over the routes authorized herein, (a) its
original tariffs, and schedules applicable to such
routes and (b) a written notice of the exact date from
and after which such operations will be conducted.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED by the Illinois Commerce Commission
that O'Hare Wisconsin Limousine Service, Inc. be, and it is hereby,
authorized and directed to operate as a common carrier of persons
by motor carrier in intrastate commerce in Illinois to or from the
entrance and exit roadway at Chicago-O'Hare International Airport
over the following additional routes:
From O'Hare International Airport via Interstate
Highway 90 to Junction, Illinois Highway 31, then
north on Illinois Highway 31 to West Dundee, Algonquin,
McHenry, and Richmond, Illinois', and return over same
route.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Certificate of Public Conven-
ience and Necessity herein granted shall be the following:
CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that the public convenience
and necessity require the installation, operation and
maintenance of motor carrier service in accordance
with this order and a Certificate of Public Conven-
ience and Necessity is issued hereby to O'Hare
Wisconsin Limousine Service, Inc. authorizing regu-
larly scheduled motor carrier transportation of
persons as set forth hereinabove subject to the.
terms and conditions set forth in this order and
according to the terms and conditions of an Act
entitled "An Act concerning public utilities" , as
amended, and the General Orders of this Commission.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that O'Hare Wisconsin Limousine Service,
Inc. shall file with the Secretary of this Commission, at least
five days prior to commencing any operations authorized 'herein,
(a) its original tariffs, and schedules applicable to such routes
and (b) a written notice of the exact date from and after which
such operations shall be conducted.
