OF HARRY M. CONWAY
WHEREAS Divine Providence has taken from our midst Harry M.
Conway, Police Commissioner of the City of McHenry and former Alderman,
who was a friend of the members of the Council and a loyal public

servant, and
WHEREAS the death of our friend and fellow city official is
taken as a great loss to the City of McHenry and to his many friends
who held him in high esteem; yet realizing that our sorrow of his
departure is surpassed by that of his grief stricken wife and family,
and
WHEREAS his many years of able and efficient public service
have endeared him to the people of this City,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
McHenry that we hereby express our deep and sincere sympathy to the
widow and family of our friend for the loss and sorrow that has come to
them; that with them we mourn for one who was loved by a host of
friends, and we share with them a memory of a life spent in service to
his fellowmen and to the City of McHenry.
Alderman Pitzen presented the above Resolution and moved,
seconded by Alderman Smith, with unanimous approval , that this
Resolution be spread upon the record of this meeting and that a copy
thereof be forwarded by the City Clerk to the widow and family of our
beloved friend.
