RESOLUTION
RESIDENTIAL POLICY OF THE
CITY OF McHENRY, ILLINOIS
BE IT RESOLVED, that the following goals and objectives in
regard to residential uses of properties within the City of McHenry,
Illinois are hereby adopted and endorsed:
1. It is the desire of the City to assist in programming de-
velopment of residential areas within its corporate limits for all family
sizes and income levels, in order to meet the reasonable consumer de-
mands in the orderly expansion of the City.
2. To promote intensive residential developments including
apartments, town houses and small homes in an area close to railway
transportation and shopping areas within the City.
3. To assure all persons equal availability of housing in all
parts of the City, without discrimination due to natural origin, race or
religion.
4. To provide for periodic review of building codes with the
objective of improving existing housing and assuring high standards for
all new construction.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval by the City Council and the Mayor of the City of
McHenry.
