RESOLUTION APPROVING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EXECUTION OF A
PROPOSED CONTRACT FOR PLANNING GRANT FOR URBAN PLANNING
ASSISTANCE FOR MCHENRY, ILLINOIS,
UNDER SECTION 701 OF THE HOUSING ACT OF 1954, BY AND BETWEEN
THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, THE
CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS, AND HARLAND BARTHOLOMEW AND
ASSOCIATES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois
has, by resolution, requested the Department of Business
and Economic Development to make application to the Depart-
ment of Housing and Urban Development for Urban Planning
Assistance, and
WHEREAS, The Department of Business and Economic Development
has applied for and received a grant of federal funds under
Title VII, Section 701 of the Housing Act of 1954, as amended,
to aid in the financing of a comprehensive planning program
in McHenry, Illinois, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois,
has given due consideration to said proposed contract, by and
between the Department of Business and Economic Development,
The City of McHenry, Illinois and Harland Bartholomew and
Associates.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The proposed contract for Planning Assistance under
Section 701 of the Federal Housing Act of 1954, as amended, by
and between the Department of Business and Economic Development,
the City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois, and Harland
Bartholomew and Associates, whereby the total sum of $5,320.00
is to be paid to the Illinois Department of Business and
Economic Development is hereby in all respects approved.
Section 2. Donald Doherty, Mayor, is hereby authorized and
directed to execute said proposed contract on behalf of the
City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois, and Earl Walsh
City Clerk of McHenry, Illinois is hereby authorized and
directed to attest such execution and to affix the official
seal thereto, on each counterpart and to forward such counter-
parts to the department of Business and Economic Development for
execution on behalf of the State of Illinois, together with
such other documents relative to the approval and execution
thereof as may be required.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
