RESOLUTIO N
Alderman William J. Bolger presented the following resoTo ion
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of McHenry oo Jie
3rd day of February, 1964, moved its adoption and that the resoj, tion
be spread upon the minutes of the meeting and a copy be presented '.c
Coach Fulton.
The motion was seconded by Alderman Huck and, upon roll
call, declared carried.
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Citisene of the City o
McHenry have long recognised the correlation between athletics and
educational programs, and
WHEREAS, competitive athletic endeavors are recognized as
reflecting tremendous benefits to the youths of McHenry, and
WHEREAS, attention is given to placing the youths of our
community under the supervision, leadership and guidance of able ape
upstanding persons, and
WHEREAS, each year, interest runs high in the progress o1
the McHenry Warrior basketball team, and
WHEREAS, McHenry basketball teams have shown great determination
and eagerness to perform to the beat of their abilities, and
WHEREAS, the players on McHenry teams have shown a fine spirit
of sportsmanship, and
WHEREAS, the above listed results have been accomplished under
the guidance of Coach Clifton r. "Cliff" Fulton for many years,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Coach Fulton, his assistants
and players be commended for their outstanding contribution to the proper
development and ultimate well being of the City of McHenry and the McHenry
area.
