WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, Illinois, has recently
completed a full revision of its Zoning Ordinance and has adopted a
master plan for the City and the surrounding area within one and one-
half miles of the City limits, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of McHenry to effect
orderly growth and expansion of the City and its environs through the
use of this plan and through cooperative measures with the County in
its zoning program, and
WHEREAS, the County of McHenry is presently without a
i growth and development plan and is contemplating a revision of the
existing Zoning Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City
of McHenry does respectfully submit to the Board of
Supervisors of McHenry County its request that a
complete revision of the McHenry County Zoning
Ordinance be undertaken as quickly as possible and
that such revision be made conjunctively with the
establishment and adoption of an overall County
plan which will reflect, among others, the plan of
the City of McHenry in the mile and a half area
surrounding the said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of McHenry
is desirous of cooperating with the County of McHenry
in every feasible manner to effect the adoption of a
comprehensive plan and a complete and integrated
revision of the existing McHenry County Zoning
Ordinance.

I, Earl R. Walsh, do hereby certify that I am the duly qualified
and acting City Clerk of the City of McHenry, Illinois, and that the
City Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois, has duly passed the
above and foregoing Resolution at a regular meeting of the said City
Council held on the 17th day of December, A. D. 1962, at which meeting
the Mayor and a quorum of the Aldermen oft e City of McHenry were
present and voting.
