RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
CONCERNING SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FUND
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry has carried upon its books
certain special assessment fund obligations identified by the numbers
20, 21, 23, 23 supplemental, and 24, and
WHEREAS, these funds have been static or dormant for a
period of over twenty (20) years, and diligent efforts have been made
to determine the whereabouts of persons holding all outstanding
obligations under the special assessment liability, and
WHEREAS, there is now in special assessment fund number 20
outstanding bonds in the amount of One Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty-.
five ($1, 925. 00) Dollars, and a cash reserve in such fund of Thirty-
seven ($. 37) cents, leaving a deficit balance in said issue of One
Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty-four and 63/100ths ($1, 924. 63) Dollars,
and
WHEREAS, there is now in special assessment fund number 21
outstanding bonds in the amount of One Thousand Three Hundred Eight
($1, 380. 00) Dollars, and a cash reserve in such fund of One Dollar
and Twenty-seven Cents ($1. 27), leaving a deficit balance in said issue
of One Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-eight and 73/100ths ($1, 378. 73)
Dollars, and
WHEREAS, there is now in special assessment fund number
23 outstanding bonds in the amount of Three Thousand Three Hundred
Sixty-one and 60/100ths ($3, 361. 60) Dollars, and a cash reserve in
such fund of Three ($. 03) Cents, leaving a deficit balance in said
issue of Three Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-one and 57/ 100ths
($3, 361. 57) Dollars, and
WHEREAS, there is now in special assessment fund number
23 Supplemental, outstanding bonds in the amount of One Hundred Sixty-
eight ($168. 00) Dollars, and a cash shortage of Six ($. 06) Cents,
leaving a deficit balance in said issue of One Hundred Sixty-eight and

WHEREAS, there is now in special assessment fund number
24, outstanding bonds in the amount of One Thousand Three Hundred
($1, 300. 00) Dollars, and a cash reserve in such fund of One Hundred
Thirty-seven and 70/100ths ($137. 70) Dollars, leaving a deficit balance
in said issue of One Thousand One Hundred Sixty-two and 30/100ths
($1, 162. 30) Dollars, and
WHEREAS, there is remaining in the special assessment fund
special account, unidentified and unapplicable funds in the amount of
Two Thousand Six Hundred Nine and 71/100ths ($2, 609. 71) Dollars,
against which there are no known or claimed liabilities, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City to
terminate and close all of the above identified special assessment
accounts and transfer such sums to the general fund of the City of
McHenry for corporate purposes, and
WHEREAS, The City Council will, and does hereby, guarantee
to all holders of valid claims against any of the above sums payment
of such monies as may be now presently in the said accounts as cash
credits only if such claims shall be presented and proven at any time
I in the future.
NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED that any and all sums of money
presently on deposit to the creditor of special assess-
; merit numbers 20, 21, 23, 23 supplemental, 24, and
special assessment fund special account, be ordered
transfered to the general corporate fund of the City
of McHenry, and the corporate officers are hereby
authorized and directed to make such transfer at once.
