1-.5- ,1 A RESOLUTION FAVORING the development of the Fox River.
Whereas, the City of �/4k' / ingrowing rapidly along with many
other communities in the Fox River Valley, and
Whereas, this community is interested in developing the Fox River
for industrial and recreational growth, and
Whereas, the sanitation and health of this community is dependent
upon the wise usage of the Fox River, and
Whereas: plans are under way to improve and develop the Fox River
for residence, recreation, flow control, fishing and boating, now
therefore
BE IT RESOLVED by the City of r /, E ✓ in council assembled
this d0 ` day of �AAci4iC/ in the Year of Our Lord 1959, that said

City of E/V1_y/ , through its lawfullyelected officials go on
record as approving in general principal, the type of program being
recommended by the Commission for the Development of the Fox River,
and that we hereby urge all citizens of . /k /XV to express their
approval by individual message or signing of petition asking for speedy
action by the Illinois General Assembly toward implementing the recreational
development of our river for the benefit of the people; and that a copy
of this resolution be sent to the Honorable William G. Stratton, Governor,
State of Illinois.
