Imams R. I. Overton has served as the Village Board
of McHenry and City Council of McHenry as Alderman and Mayor during
a period of thirty consecutive years, and
WHEREAS, he has devoted much ties and energy toward the
welfare and growth of McHenry, and
WHEREAS, the citiaeas of McHenry have recognised his
ability and value to McHenry by choosing his to serve and represent
them over this unusual length of time, and
EMUS, he has now chosen to retire from public office,
WOW, THERWORI, HE IT RESOLVED that the Sit, Council of
the City of McHenry extend its sincere appreciation in behalf of
the citizens of rolenry for the aforementioned services.
I move the adoption of the above resolution, that it be
incorporated in the minutes of this meeting and a copy be presented
to R. I. Overton.
