to Act as e Clearings House in the Collection and
Distribution of the 2;1: Fire Denartment Tax Due

WHEREAS, many municinalities are not
reali7inrr lnncl, collections on the 277 fire department
tax, and
WHEREAS, many municipalities are suffering
unusual, delay in the collection of this tax and are
beinz forced to na7 unreasonably fees for the
collection of these taxes when delinouent , and
774.FREAS, the Illinois Tunicipal Learru_e has
established a n1Pn for the cooneretive collection of
this tax for 911 municinalities with the coonerPtion
of -11 foreirrn fire insurF:nce co-InPnies, in order to
avoid delinnuencies ir the -eyment of this tax end in
order to nrovide for full and nrorAnt collection or this
tPy, and

NOW, 117-1FREFCRE, BE IT RESOLVED: Section 1 .

by the cornorate authorities of this munieinality to
receive and examire the renorts and acrments of the pg
fire den-rt[ient taxes tendered this mtnicinalitv by
forein fire insur-nce conpanies writin'T s-Ich busines-i
on nroperty loce,,ted -7ithin the corrorate limits of this
municipality .
Section 2 . That this municiality herey agrees
to pay to the Illinois Dmicinal Leaue to meet the costs
of maintainin2: the Coonerative Collection Service a
fee of 7 , based u-non the amount of the e, fire denartoent
taxes actually collected by the League and received by
the municinality, such 7?%. foe to be pai the Longue not
