RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it is rumored that U.S. Route 12
is to be rerouted so- that it will not go through
McHenry, and:
WHEREAS, this route has been routed through •
the city of McHenry for approximately the past ten
years, and:
WHEREAS, various property owners in and near
the City of McHenry have invested large sums of money
L �= because the said route ran through McHenry and because
; the said property owners felt the said route would

- continue indefinitely to run through McHenry, and: 0)
WHEREAS, the majority of the people of the
City of McHenry and vicinity are strongly in favor
of the continuance of the route through McHenry over

its present location, and:
WHEREAS, if the said Route U.S. 12 is rerouted
it will mean a considerable loss to the people of
McHenry and vicinity.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the State
Highway Department be requested to reconsider the re-

routing of U.S. route 12 and if at all possible to retain
the present routing through McHenry. -
