RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Greater McHenry Area is experiencing an acute
traffic problem, and
WHEREAS, Route FAP 420 is planned, and
WHEREAS, Route FAP 420 right-of-way is secured, and
WHEREAS, Route FAP 420 has displaced residents, and
WHEREAS, the construction of Route FAP 420 would benefit
all of northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, and
WHEREAS, we feel the State of Illinois has not given Route
FAP 420 the priority it deserves, and
WHEREAS, financial resources for freeway construction are
limited, and
WHEREAS, monies for the construction of Route FAP 420 could
be realized from bonds if Route FAP 420 were incorporated into the
tollway system,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of McHenry go
on record requesting that construction of Route FAP 420 commence
as soon as possible using either the Freeway or Tollway method of
financing, whichever will bring this much needed highway to fruition
sooner.
