WHEREAS, EARL R. WALSH has served on the McHenry Public
Library Board continuously since the City took over operation
of the Library in 1946, and
WHEREAS, EARL R. WALSH has chosen not to seek reappoint-
ment to the Library Board, and
WHEREAS, EARL R. WALSH has shown civic interest in the
progress of the McHenry Public Library for many years, and
WHEREAS, EARL R. WALSH has devoted much time and energy
as a member of the McHenry Public Library Board, and
WHEREAS, EARL R. WALSH has served with ability and pur-
pose,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of McHenry go on record as recognizing these accom-
plishments and expresses its appreciation on behalf of the
citizens of McHenry.
I move the adoption of the above resolution, that it be
incorporated in the minutes of this meeting and a copy be
presented to Earl R. Walsh.
