HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - R-78-21 - 07/17/1978 - Chamber of Commerce liquor for Fiesta Days R-78-21 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: 1 . That permission and license, without any fee, be and it is here- by given to the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce, to sell alcoholic beverages at retail , at the McHenry Pearl Street City Park, for consumption on said park premises only on July 29, 1978, from the hour of 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. the next morning in connection with and as part of the City of Mc- Henry Fiesta Week Activities. 2. That the aforesaid permission and license is granted to the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce on following terms and conditions: (a) That prior to July 29, 1978, the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce shall , at its own expense, furnish the City of McHenry with a certificate of Dram Shop insurance, with coverage limits of $150,000.-$300,000. , insuring the City against any and all dram shop claims for damages that might arise in connection with said sale of liquor, and in addition to such insurance, it shall also hold the City completely harmless with respect thereto. (b) That the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce shall not per- mit any of the liquor that is purchased from it to be con- sumed off the Park premises. (c) That the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce shall comply in all respects with the terms and provisions of the Dram Shop Act relating to licensing by the State of Illinois. . (d) That the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce shall , prior to July 29, 1978 furnish the City with an acceptance of the foregoing terms and conditions. (e) That the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce shall see to it that all debris (cans, containers, etc. ) resulting from the sale of liquor shall be cleaned up immediately after the closing of the day's activities.
