R-78-24
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, VFW Auxiliary Post 4600 has been an outstanding
force in the McHenry area for leadership, service and civic
participation in community affairs, and
WHEREAS, VFW Auxiliary Post 4600 continues to generously
uphold its record of community service by donating two large
American flags to the City of McHenry for display at the
McHenry Municipal Building and at the outdoor lighted City
flag pole,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City
Council of the City of McHenry, extends its sincere appre-
ciation to VFW Auxiliary Post 4600 on behalf of all the cit-
izens of McHenry for their generous contribution.
Motion by Rogers , seconded by Nolan
that the above resolution be adopted and that a copy be made
a permanent part of the records of the City of McHenry and a
copy be presented to the VFW Auxiliary Post 4600.
AYES: Bolger, Nolan, Harker, Datz, Smith, Rogers, Schooley
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Adams
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 30th day of October, 1978.
