RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, George P. Freund has served since 1942 on the McHenry
Library Board, and
WHEREAS, he has served with purpose, dedication and devotion on
that Board, and
WHEREAS, he has helped build a strong foundation for the McHenry
Library Board, and
WHEREAS, he has been instrumental in development of a fine City
Library, and
WHEREAS, he has shown civic interest and pride in the McHenry
Public Library, and
WHEREAS, he has for 37 years given much time and energy to the
McHenry Public Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of McHenry go on record as recognizing these accomplishments
and expresses its appreciation on behalf of the citizens of McHenry
and that George P. Freund be declared a McHENRY PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD
MEMBER EMERITUS.
I move the adoption of the above resolution, that it be in-
corporated in the minutes of this meeting and a copy be presented
to George P. Freund.
