RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the McHenry City Council and the McHenry Area Chamber
of Commerce of the City of McHenry desires to hold their Annual Fiesta
Day Parade on State Route 120 (Elm Street) on July 27, 1980.
WHEREAS, said parade will require the closing of State Route 120
(Elm Street) either partially or completely between Green Street and
Riverside Drive, and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois requires the City Council to assume
all responsibility and liability involved in the closing of said high-
way.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
McHenry, that said City will assume full responsibility for the direction,
protection and regulation of traffic during the time the detour is in
effect, and all liabilities for damages of any kind occasioned by the
closing of said State Route.
It is further agreed that efficient, all weather detours will be
maintained conspicuously marked and judiciously police patrolled for
the benefit of traffic deviated from the State Route.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of McHenry, this 2nd day
of June, 1980.
