RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the McHenry Hospital serves the Greater McHenry Area
with excellent health care facilities, and
WHEREAS, McHenry Hospital is presently operating at capacity; and
WHEREAS, McHenry Hospital serves a rapidly growing population; and
WHEREAS, the land for a new hospital has been acquired, zoned and
annexed into the City of McHenry for ten (10) years ; and
WHEREAS, utilities are planned and available for the new hospital;
and
WHEREAS, the present hospital site is physically limited making
its expansion financially nonfeasible; and
WHEREAS, an enlarged updated total medical facility is more cost
effective; and
WHEREAS, all state criteria has been met in its application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of McHenry go on
record supporting the new relocated hospital and offering full power
of the City Council to assist in this endeavor.
Motion by Meurer, seconded by Datz, that the above Resolution
be adopted and that a copy be made a permanent part of the records
of the City of McHenry and that a copy be presented to Health Systems
Agency of Kane, Lake and McHenry Counties.
AYES: Nolan, Pepping, Datz, Harker, Smith, Serritella , Meurer,
NAYS: None.
ABSENT:Wieser
