RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the plans are underway for the improvement of the Elm Street
(Illinois Route 120) bridge over the Fox River, Section 14BR-79 in McHenry
County; and
WHEREAS, the parallel parking along the north and south sides of Elm
Street (Route 120) from Riverside Drive to Park Street are the responsibility
of the City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, six or seven parallel parking spaces are to be constructed on
each side of Elm Street (Route 120) from Riverside Drive to Park Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry is required to bear the cost of these parking
spaces.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, that the City of McHenry agrees to pay
for the cost of the construction of the parking lanes in connection with the
Route 120 Bridge re-construction with the funds to be paid by the City of
McHenry's allocated Federal Aid Urban Systems (FAUS) funds.
