R-82-8
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS , the Village of McHenry Shores has previously filed
a Step 1 Grant Application and been awarded a Step 1 Grant for
Facility Planning under the U.S . Environmental Protection Agency
Construction Grants Program, and
WHEREAS, annexation of the Village of McHenry Shores to
the City of McHenry was approved by a majority of the voters of
each community at elections held on March 16 , 1982, and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry now represents all of the resi-
dents of the former Village of McHenry Shores and their interests,
and
WHEREAS , under the provisions of the Federal Water Pollu-
tion Control Act, it is required that the City Council, the
governing body, adopt a resolution authorizing a representative
to file and sign grant applications and supporting documents,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council, the
governing body, that Joseph B. Stanek is hereby authorized to
sign all future grant application forms and documents for the
above project pursuant to the Federal Water Pollution Control
Act.
