RESOLUTION
Whereas, the McHenry Hospital Board of Trustees has worked with the Kane/
Lake/McHenry HSA in granting their approval for a Certificate of Need to con-
struct a new hospital and that Certificate has now been granted by the State of
Illinois; and
Whereas, the Kane/Lake/McHenry HSA has adequately provided statistical ,
planning and health project review services for McHenry County; and
Whereas, the Kane/Lake/McHenry HSA Governing Board is comprised of indi-
viduals from diverse backgrouds and fields who are genuinely concerned and
familiar with and attentive to local health care needs and concerns; and
Whereas , the Congress of the United States, when it passed PL-93-641
(The Federal Health Planning Act) , clearly intended for health planning to
take place at the grassroots level .
Therefore, be it resolved that the McHenry City Council opposes the
merger of the local HSA's into a single metropolitan review organization;
and
That the McHenry City Council supports health planning conducted on a
local , rather than metropolitan-wide scale, so that high quality local health
care is maintained.
Be it further resolved that copies of this resolution be forwarded to
all parties, government officials and individuals who are interested in the
future of health planning.
Passed this 17th day of August, 1982.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Fox Lake has been in existence for 75 years; and
WHEREAS, Fox Lake has grown in size, beauty, stature; and
WHEREAS, McHenry is pleased and honored to be involved in the
75th Birthday celebration of Fox Lake; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of McHenry share in this celebration
with pride and joy; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Council are pleased to be a sister
community of Fox Lake.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council ,
on behalf of the citizens of the City of McHenry, Illinois, go on
record acknowledging the progress and growth experienced these last
75 years and congratulate all Fox Lake residents , past and present,
who have contributed to the growth and achievements that are evident
this day.
