RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, GEORGE L. HARKER has served for eleven years as
Alderman of the Second Ward on the McHenry City Council ; and
WHEREAS, he has served both as chairman and as a member
of important committees during his term of office; and
WHEREAS, he has served the office of Alderman with pur-
pose, dedication and devotion; and
WHEREAS, he has shown civic interest in the City' s prog-
ress and development for many years; and
WHEREAS, he has given generously of his time and efforts;
and
WHEREAS, his contributions and accomplishments are noted
and recognized; and
WHEREAS, he finds it necessary to retire from the McHenry
City Council .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of McHenry go on record as recognizing these accom-
plishments and expresses its appreciation on behalf of the
citizens of McHenry.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be incorporated
into the minutes of this meeting and that a copy be presented to
George L. Harker.
