RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, David Gelwicks was appointed to the office of Alderman
of the Third Ward in the City of McHenry on January 13, 1983, and
recently concluded his term of office; and
WHEREAS, he has served the office of Alderman with purpose,
dedication and devotion; and
WHEREAS, he has shown civic interest in the City's progress and
development for many years; and
WHEREAS, he has given generously of his time and efforts ; and
WHEREAS, his contributions and accomplishments are noted and
recognized; and
WHEREAS, he has filled the office of Alderman efficiently and
with the welfare of the City uppermost in his mind.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of McHenry go on record as recognizing these accomplishments
and expresses its appreciation on behalf of the citizens of McHenry.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be incorporated
into the minutes of this meeting and that a copy be presented to
David Gelwicks.
