RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a
Crime Stoppers program in the McHenry area ; and
WHEREAS, by participating in the Crime Stoppers program, the
McHenry Police Department and the citizens of McHenry will be assisted
by the apprehension and conviction of criminals; and
WHEREAS, the public will be motivated to cooperate with the
McHenry Police Department and other law enforcement agencies within
McHenry County because rewards will be offered; and
WHEREAS, by participating in the Crime Stoppers program, the
public will be informed and educated as to criminal tactics , so as to
further be protected from criminal activity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of McHenry, that the City supports the McHenry Area Chamber of
Commerce in its development of the Crime Stoppers Program in the McHenry
area.
PASSED and APPROVED this 19th day of September, 1983.
