RESOLUTION
WHEREAS , Brake Parts Company of McHenry, a division of
Echlin Corporation has been an employer of many residents of the
greater McHenry Area; and
WHEREAS , the economic benefits derived from the Brake
Parts Company have provided for the shelter, food , clothing and
medical needs of many families in McHenry; and
WHEREAS , new product lines , sound management, a strong
work ethic in its employees, confidence in the community and
other factors have caused the expansion of facilities and job
opportunities; and
WHEREAS , Brake Parts has demonstrated confidence in the
City of McHenry, concern for its employees, pride in its products
and its industrial excellence; and
WHEREAS , A grateful City thanks the officers , employees
and the stockholders of Brake Parts for being " Partners in
Progress".
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City
Council of the City of McHenry, on behalf of the residents of the
greater McHenry Area, recognize Brake Parts Company for its con-
tributions to the community and congratulates them for the high
honor being awarded to Brake Parts by the McHenry Area Economic
Development Commission.
