RESOLU-TI'0N
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of
McHenry desires to hold their Annual Christmas Parade on Route 120 on
Saturday, November 30, 1985 between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 1-i30
p.m.
WHEREAS, said parade will require the closing of Route 120
either partially or completely between Industrial Drive and Crystal
Lake Road, and between Green Street and Riverside Drive.
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois requires the City to assume all
responsibility and liability involved in the closing of said highway.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of McHenry that
said City will assume full responsibility for the direction, protection
and regulation of traffic during the time and detour is in effect and all
liabilities for damages of any kind occasioned by the closing ofsaid
State Route.
It is further agreed that efficient, all weather detours will
be maintained, conspicuously marked and judiciously Police patrolled for
the benefit of traffic deviated from the State Route.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of McHenry, this 16th day of
October, 1985.
