RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it is the goal of every municipal official in Illinois
to strive to improve the quality of life and economic progress in his
or her community; and
HWEREAS, the residents of the City of McHenry take pride in be-
ing counted among the industrious and innovative citizenry of Illi-
nois; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry is planning an infrastructure im-
provement for the construction of a wastewater treatment facility in
the southeastern part of the City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Public Infrastructure Loan and Grant Pro-
gram, which is an intragal part of the Build Illinois Program, will
help local governments finance these public infrastructure improve-
ments needed to support the creation and retention of new employment
opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the purposes
and plans
of the Illinois Public Infra-
structure Loan and Grant
Program are
based on
the recognition that
business and industry will
locate and
expand in
communities which are
well -governed, attractive
and demonstrate that
they are willing to
accomodate the needs of business and
industry
by the construction,
expansion and renovation of
public infrastructure
improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of McHenry does
hereby go on record to support the concept and objectives of the Illi-
nois Public Infrastructure Loan and Grant Program which is designed
for communities that want to help themselves and does also hereby sup-
port the City of McHenry Grant Application presented herewith for the
construction of said wastewater treatment facility.
