RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce of the City of McHenry desires
to hold their Annual Fiesta Day Parade on Route 120 on Sunday, July 27,
1986 between the hours of 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, said parade will require the closing of Route 120 either
partially or completely between Route 31 and Riverside Drive; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois requires the City to assume all
responsibility and liability involved in the closing of said highways.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of McHenry that said City will assume full responsibility for
the direction, protection and regulation of traffic during the time the
detour is in effect and all liabilities for damages of any kind occa-
sioned by the closing of said State Routes.
It is further agreed that efficient, all weather detours will be
maintained, conspicuously marked and judiciously Police patrolled for
the benefit of traffic deviated from the State Routes.
PASSED and APPROVED this 4th day of June, 1986.
