j RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of
McHenry provides leisurcr's'ervices for the City of McHenry and area residents;
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry has acquired riverfront property
south of town to be known as South Riverfront Park;
WHEREAS, the Fox River and Chain O'Lakes area is one of the most
popular water recreation resources in Northeastern Illinois;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of McHenry, that said
City will apply for a Illinois Department of Conservation Boat Access Area
Grant to be financed from Marine Motor Fuel Tax revenues.
It is further agreed that the City will submit the proper grant
forms and necessary information to comply with the Illinois Department of
Conservation guidelines.
Passed and approved by the City Council of the City of McHenry, this loth
day of February, 1988.
