RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO AWARD CONTRACT
FOR SOUTH. WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT

WHEREAS the City of McHenry has applied for a Step 3 grant
from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for the South
Wastewater Treatment Plant, Build Illinois Grant Project No.
C172749,
AND WHEREAS the City Council authorized on March 16, 1988 and
duly published an advertisement of Notice to Contractors for
receiving bids for the construction of the South Wastewater
Treatment Plant,
AND WHEREAS the City of McHenry received and publicly opened
and read sealed proposals for the construction of the South
Wastewater Treatment Plant on May 5, 1988;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois that:
(1) The contract for the South Wastewater Treatment Plant
shall be awarded to the low bidder, Wm. Zeigler & Son, Inc., in
the total amount of $2,780,000 for the project as defined by the
base bid.
(2) The aforementioned contract shall be executed by the
Mayor and Clerk of the City of McHenry upon receipt of approval
and endorsement of said contract award by the Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency.
RESOLVED THIS 13th day of June, 1988.
