RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of McHenry
desires to hold their Annual Christmas Parade on Illinois State Route 120 on
Saturday, December 1, 1990, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
WHEREAS, said parade will require the closing of Illinois State Route
120 either partially or completely between Ringwood Road and Crystal Lake
Road, and between Green Street and Riverside Drive.
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois requires the City to assume all re-
sponsibility and liability involved in the closing of said highway.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council, City of McHenry,
McHenry County, Illinois, that said City will assume full responsibility for
the direction, protection and regulation of traffic during the time the detour
is in effect and all liabilities for damages of any kind occasioned by the
closing of said State Route.
It is further agreed that efficient, all weather detours will be
maintained, conspicuously marked and judiciously Police patrolled for the
benefit of traffic deviated for the State Route.
Passed and approved by the City Council of the City of McHenry, this 31st day
of October, 1990.
