WHEREAS, Thomas F. Bolger is celebrating fifty years in
banking at McHenry State Bank on September 4, 1991; and
WHEREAS, he dedicated much of his time and talents serving as
Treasurer of the City of McHenry from 1950 through 1975; and
WHEREAS, he has also given generously of his time and energy
to numerous civic organizations over the years; and
WHEREAS, he has shown a keen interest in enhancing the
economic growth and development of the community by serving as a
Charter Member of the McHenry Area Economic Development Commission;
and
WHEREAS, he has recognized the importance of community
banking in the state and across this nation by encouraging savings,
prudent lending and the reinvestment of local deposits by making
loans in the community to create jobs and promote the overall
standard of living; and
WHEREAS, Thomas F. Bolger has always placed the economic
health and well-being of the community first in his heart, and has
been profoundly instrumental in building on the past and shaping of
the future of McHenry.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of McHenry
officially recognizes the many contributions and accomplishments of
Thomas F. Bolger and offers congratulations to him on his fifty
years in banking.
