CITY OF MCHENRY ) SS.
R-91-22
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, registered voters in the following described real estate
have filed a petition with the Regional Board of School Trustees of
McHenry County, Illinois seeking to have such territory detached from
Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District No. 47 and annexed to
McHenry Community Consolidated School District No. 15:
THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 8 (EXCEPT
THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SAID QUARTER
SECTION), THE SOUTH ONE-HALF OF SECTION 9,
THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 9 AND THE
SOUTH ONE-HALF OF SECTION 10, ALL IN
TOWNSHIP 44 NORTH, RANGE 8, EAST OF THE
THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, MCHENRY COUNTY,
ILLINOIS
and;
WHEREAS, said real estate is adjacent and contiguous to the
boundaries of McHenry Community Consolidated School District No. 15; and
WHEREAS, said real estate lies within the boundaries of McHenry
Community High School District 156; and
WHEREAS, said real estate lies within the comprehensive land use
planning area of the City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, a portion of said real estate currently lies within and is
zoned by the City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, McHenry Community Consolidated School District 15 supports
the annexation of the above -described real estate to its territorial
boundaries.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the
City of McHenry, Illinois as follows:
1. That the preambles of this Resolution be and they are hereby
incorporated herein as though fully set forth.
2. That the Mayor and City Council of the City of McHenry support
the petition filed by the registered voters of the following described
territory:
THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 8 (EXCEPT
THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SAID QUARTER
SECTION), THE SOUTH ONE-HALF OF SECTION 9,
THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 9 AND THE
SOUTH ONE-HALF OF SECTION 10, ALL IN
TOWNSHIP 44 NORTH, RANGE 8, EAST OF THE
THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, MCHENRY COUNTY,
ILLINOIS
3. That the City Administrator be and is hereby directed to provide
a certified copy of this Resolution to the Regional Board of School
Trustees of McHenry County, Illinois at any hearing on the
above -referenced petition.
