RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the McHenry Warrior Football Team had an outstanding
Conference Record of 9-0 this season, thereby bringing honor to themselves,
their families, coaches, school, and to our City; and
WHEREAS, the McHenry Warriors Football Team won its first playoff
victory in Class 5A by defeating Rockford Jefferson in a hard fought battle by
a score of 29-27; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry recognizes the contributions made by
the School Board, School Administration, faculty, student body, the coaching
staff, players, cheerleaders, pom pom girls, the stage band, and also the fans,
with their efforts and sacrifices to accomplish this success.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Council of the City of McHenry go on record recognizing the pride, unity,
spirit and the recognition that this 1991 Warrior Football Team has given and
continues to give our community.
PASSED and APPROVED this 6th day of November, 1991.
