RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, AnnMarie Sommer was appointed to the McHenry
Environmental Advisory Commission on August 16, 1989; and
WHEREAS, AnnMarie Sommer is moving from the area and has
resigned from the Environmental Advisory Commission, after giving
generously of her time and efforts; and
WHEREAS, she has served as Co -Chairman of the Commission for
the last four years with purpose, dedication and devotion and has
acted in all matters before the Commission with the welfare of the
City uppermost in her mind; and
WHEREAS, she has contributed to the success of several City
programs, such as the pay per bag garbage system, City tree program,
curbside recycling, and yard waste drop-off; and
WHEREAS, her accomplishments and contributions to the
Environmental Advisory Commission are hereby acknowledged with
gratitude.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of McHenry go on record as recognizing the many contributions
of AnnMarie Sommer and expresses its appreciation and gratitude on
behalf of the citizens of McHenry.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be incorporated
into the minutes of this meeting and that a copy be presented to
AnnMarie Sommer.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 3Oth day of June, 1993.
