R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry is applying to the State of Illinois Depatment
of Conservation under its OSLAD program for a development grant for
Brookside Park.
WHEREAS, the City feels the development of this donated property would be a
great addition to the City's Park System, and,
WHEREAS, this development would provide opportunities for a neighborhood
playsite, shelter, and walking path, and,
WHEREAS, the development of 4 soccer fields, parking, and
concession/washroom building will provide facilities for the growing soccer
program in our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council go on record
as supporting this grant application which will greatly enhance recreational
activities and opportunities for the citizens of the McHenry area.
