R E S O L U T I O N
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR
A GRANT UNDER THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE
PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY THE STATE OF ILLINOIS' DEPARTMENT
OF COMMERCE AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS (DCCA)
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry wishes to submit an application to
DCCA for a Business Development Grant for infrastructure improvements to
facilitate the construction of a packaging and distribution plant to be
located in McHenry Corporate Center, resulting in the creation of 500 jobs;
and
WHEREAS, in order to submit such an application properly, the City
Council must first officially approve the project for which the funds are
being sought and authorize the Mayor as Chief Executive Officer to sign the
application forms and he and the City Clerk to execute all appropriate
documents to facilitate the filing of the application; and
WHEREAS, in filing this application, the City fully understands
that many rules and regulations set forth by the federal government will
apply to the project that the City will have to comply with if the project
is funded.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
McHenry that the Mayor be authorized to sign the Business Development Public
Infrastructure Program Grant application and execute all other necessary
documents; that the Clerk be authorized to attest to, certify and otherwise
execute all necessary documents for the DCCA application; and that both the
Mayor and Clerk be empowered to submit any information for the application
and subsequent to its filing, as may be requested by DCCA; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage in accordance to law.
