RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, McHenry has enjoyed Fiesta Days, its annual summer
celebration that draws thousands of people, for over forty years; and
WHEREAS, Fiesta Days is organized each year by a group of
volunteers, the Fiesta Days Board, who have devoted an extraordinary
amount of their time and efforts; and
WHEREAS, Fiesta Days is a huge undertaking, involving many
months of planning and organizing events that will cater to every
age; and
WHEREAS, during the nine days that Fiesta Days is held each
July, countless hours are spent by the Board ensuring that an
enjoyable time is had by all; and
WHEREAS, the Fiesta Days Board can look back with pride and
satisfaction on a job well done for many years; and
WHEREAS, their accomplishments and contributions are hereby
acknowledged with gratitude; and
WHEREAS, we thank them for their countless hours of dedicated
service toward making McHenry a better place to live and play.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of McHenry go on record as recognizing the 1994 Fiesta Days
Board for its many years of dedicated service and expresses its
appreciation and admiration on behalf of the citizens of McHenry.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be incorporated
into the minutes of this meeting and that a copy be presented to the
Fiesta Days Board.
