CITY OF WHENRY
R e s o l u t i o n
Regarding the Liquor Licenses of Certain Businesses
Located East of the Fox River in the City of McHenry
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1995, the City of McHenry annexed certain
properties lying east of the Fox River, which include eight
businesses that hold current McHenry County liquor licenses; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry is now considering petitions for
rezoning of the annexed properties, which include the eight McHenry
County liquor license holders, who are Clark Oil Company, Ed's
Pizza and Pub, Golden Eagle, Monaco's Restaurant, Shell E&S
Minimart, Sunrise Grocers, VFW Veterans Club and Vicki's Place
("the Liquor Licensees"); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the McHenry County
licenses of the Liquor Licensees should remain in effect until it
has studied the current City of McHenry Liquor Control and Liquor
Licensing regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Liquor Licensees
should be permitted to continue to operate their business estab-
lishments under the rules and regulations of the McHenry County
liquor license permits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has also determined that the application
of the City of McHenry Liquor Control and Liquor Licensing
regulations should begin when the City Council takes action on the
Zoning Board of Appeals recommendations for rezoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Aldermen of the
City of McHenry that the McHenry County Liquor Licenses for the
Liquor Licensees shall continue in effect until the City Council
takes further action on this matter.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the regulations of the McHenry County
Liquor Control and Liquor Licensing Ordinance shall be applicable
to the Liquor Licensees until the City Council takes further action
on this matter.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the City of McHenry file
a certified copy of this Resolution with the Clerk of McHenry
County and each Liquor Licensee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the City of McHenry
spread the above Resolution upon the minutes of the meeting of
the City of McHenry at which the above Resolution was adopted.
