RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING SALE OF PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry is the owner of certain real
estate located in the City, consisting of approximately 7,480
square feet, legally described as follows:
That part of the green area lying North of and adjacent
to Lots 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Block 33 in Boone Valley Plat
No. 7, being a subdivision of part of the West half of
Section 34, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof
recorded August 23, 1973 as Document No. 601785, bounded
and described as follows: commencing at the Northeast
corner of said Lot 7; thence North 30 degrees 18 minutes
36 seconds West (record bearing) along the Easterly line
of said green area, a distance of 83.36 feet to the
intersection with a line drawn 50 feet perpendicularly
distant, Northerly of and parallel with the Northerly
line of said Lot 7, for a point of beginning; thence
North 67 degrees 10 minutes 07 seconds West, along the
last described parallel line, a distance of 185.46 feet
to the intersection with a Northwesterly line of said
green area; thence North 59 degrees 41 minutes 24 seconds
east, a distance of 51.25 feet, to an angle point in said
Northwesterly line of said green area; thence North 82
degrees 58 minutes 17 seconds East, a distance of 65.32
feet; thence South 30 degrees 13 minutes 36 seconds East,
along the Easterly line of said green area, a distance of
122.57 feet, to the point of beginning, in McHenry
County, Illinois.
WHEREAS, the City desires to transfer all right, title and
interest to the above described property to the Board of Education
of the McHenry High School District Number 156 pursuant to the
authority set forth in 50 ILCS 605/0.01, et. sea.
WHEREAS, the City has prepared an agreement, attached hereto
as Exhibit A, for presentation as an offer to the Board of
Education of McHenry High School District Number 156.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of
the City of McHenry, that the Mayor and Clerk of the City of
McHenry be directed to execute and present Exhibit A to the Board
of Education of the McHenry High School District Number 156 for the
acceptance and sale of the property in accordance with its terms.
