RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR
A GRANT UNDER THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY THE
McHENRY COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry wishes to submit an application to the McHenry County
Department of Planning & Development for repairs and reconstruction of Devonshire Court; and,
WHEREAS, in order to submit such an application properly, the City Council must first
officially approve the project for which the funds are being sought and authorize the Mayor as
Chief Executive Officer to sign the application forms, and execute all appropriate documents to
facilitate the filing of the application; and
WHEREAS, in filing this application, the City understands the rules and regulations set
forth by the Federal government, with which the City will have to comply if the award is to be
bestowed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of McHenry that
the Mayor be authorized to sign the Community Development Block Grant application and
execute all other necessary documents;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage in accordance to law.
