RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the McHenry Warrior Football Team once again had an outstanding Conference
Record of 7-0 this season, thereby bringing honor to themselves, their families, coaches, school, and
to our City; and,
WHEREAS, the McHenry Warrior Football Team has won the Fox Valley Championship Title
with an undefeated Conference Record this year; and,
WHEREAS, the McHenry Warrior Football Team has earned the Fox Valley Championship
Title for the last eight consecutive years; and,
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry recognizes the contributions made by the the players,
coaching staff, cheerleaders, pom pon squad, marching band, the fans, faculty, student body, School
Administration and School Board, through their efforts and sacrifices to accomplish this success; and,
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry is proud of the good sportsmanship exhibited by the team
in game situations which truly tested the character and integrity of the players and coaches.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
McHenry go on record as recognizing the pride, unity, and spirit that this 1996 McHenry Warrior
Football Team has given our community in this season's conference games, and wishes the team the
best of luck in post season play.
